WELCOME DAD!
If you are viewing this page, I can assume like many fathers before you; you too are struggling with finding adequate and friendly support for your needs as a father. I need you to know that we are happy that you haven’t been so discouraged that it has kept you from continuing to seek support and advice. You also must know that we may not have ALL the answers for you, however, we understand your need, and won’t stop attempting to help you until we have found a service that can help you be the best father you can be.
Whether you are a new dad or seasoned dad; one who has been involved or one who hasn’t; engaging in parenting is no different. Parenting is a learned set of skills; neither mothers nor fathers are born with the automatic ability to do so. If you were or it was easy; you wouldn’t be here. The journey to being a perfect parent is out of reach; the walk to being responsible, available and committed however is well within your reach.
On this site, it is our desire to provide you with as much information as possible to make that journey obtainable for the sake of your child(ren). The “FOR FATHERS” section is under construction in order so that you will get what you came for at Fathers Incorporated. We have many partners around the country; if we don’t know of a service in your area; it won’t take us long to find one (if it exists). If one does not; we have awesome national partners that can serve you just the same.
Also in this section; we are going to provide you with advice, tips, insights, resources and referrals. We will also share with you social marketing sites (facebook groups, blogs and twitter) that can help you talk to other fathers jus t like you. One of the best things you can do to help yourself is to talk about your situation with others who’ve been there; done that. Fathers with insight and constructive advice. We caution you to be ready to hear things you might not be ready for. It’s easy to get caught up in your own world and think the whole world is against you. More often than not, it jus t seems that way. In rare cases; it is. We have not seen many of these.
We will also speak in your language. We will be technical when necessary; but REAL TALK from REAL PEOPLE is what you will hear. I know you might think you case or situation is unique. It’s not. It’s personal, but definitely not unique. The pain and emotion you are feeling is real; and we respect that. Remember an Open Mind is a two-way street; if you want help, then you gotta be able to listen.
